Loan amount
The amount borrowed is the starting point. Fees or other charges may change the amount financed under an actual offer.
Customer guide
A single repayment figure cannot tell the whole story. Understand the inputs and the costs outside the estimate before comparing finance options.
General information only. Calculator results are estimates, not a recommendation, offer, quote or approval. Consider the full terms and your circumstances before making a decision.
The amount borrowed is the starting point. Fees or other charges may change the amount financed under an actual offer.
The rate entered affects the calculated interest. The calculator’s rate is your assumption, not an advertised AMG rate or a personalised offer.
Spreading a loan over a longer period can lower regular repayments while increasing the interest paid if the other terms stay the same.
Weekly, fortnightly and monthly schedules produce different payment amounts. Compare like-for-like schedules and check the lender’s calculation method.
A balloon or residual leaves a portion of the balance to be paid at the end of the term. Regular repayments may be lower, but that final amount remains due and can affect total interest. Consider how you would pay it; a future sale price or refinance cannot be assumed.
The AMG calculator excludes fees and uses a simplified calculation with the inputs provided. Actual lender calculations, payment dates, rounding, charges and loan conditions can differ. An estimate also says nothing about eligibility or whether a repayment is affordable for you.
Review the rate, term, regular repayments, fees, total amount payable and any final payment together. If refinancing, also consider the remaining cost of the existing loan and any costs of ending it. Ask for a clear explanation of anything you do not understand before accepting an offer.
